The last thing you want is for your day or night to be interrupted by having to deal with a false alarm. Good news is that there are a few simple steps that can be taken to help reduce the chances of a false alarm.
Be sure all employees are trained before attempting to use the alarm system
Hold monthly training sessions to go over changes to the system
Makes sure even temporary employees are trained if they are going to have access to the alarm system
Look out for items that can move into "view" of a motion detector
Ensure all doors and windows are closed and locked before leaving for the night
Don't change codes without letting all personnel know before and after the change
Immediately contact our service department if you believe your alarm system is not working properly
Service and maintain your system (including batteries) regularly
Notify the monitoring center anytime emergency contact names or numbers change
Ensure all doors and windows are down and locked before leaving your home
Make sure everyone in your home knows about the alarm system and how to use it
Have your service company check you home regularly
Ensure that anyone who has access to your home (i.e. family, housekeeper, babysitter) is trained on your system and knows how to use it
Notify your alarm company if you plan any kind of remodeling
Upgrade old systems to current equipment
Notify the monitoring center anytime emergency numbers or names change
